And we’re back!

Kuku Hut
After 4 years, Adupo was way overdue a redesign and it’s just gone live this evening for the first time. I hope everyone likes it. I’ll be perfectly honest (and it’s probably pretty obvious), I’m no web designer nor have I much creativity in me. But hopefully it works regardless. I like the minimalist design as I think it makes the site easier to navigate. But I’m sure there’ll be tweaks over the coming weeks so feel free to make suggestions.
I’m really glad that we will (eventually) be stocking a wide range of products from Kuku Hut. I’ve been working with Amanda over the last couple of years mostly with the Maasai blankets and we’ve built up a good working relationship. I especially like the way she is training some of her local contacts up so they can source the goods and ship them.
Amanda is pretty busy at present getting her container off to Canada but keep an eye on the site over the next couple of weeks for a very extended range of gift items that you won’t have seen.
I hope Adupo will become Kuku hut’s European distributor for lack of a better term. With that in mind, I’ve decided to include shipping in the price of each item as the cost of shipping to the different countries probably won’t be that different as everything is being sent directly from Kenya. It looks like Amanda is working on a separate webshop for Canada which I’m sure will serve the US too, and of course she has a variety of products in shops around Canada.
I’ve actually bought a few of Kuku Hut’s products as presents for my family and they were absolutely thrilled with them. I was pretty darn impressed with them myself when I got to see them. Keep an eye out for product reviews over the next few weeks.
I have to say, it feels good to be back. I hope to have lots of time to devote to the site over the next few months. I’ve also learned a bit more about e-commerce, SEO and social media so I’ll be looking to implement some of that.
If you do come across any issues when you’re surfing the site, I’d appreciate if you let me know by the way.
And as ever, I’d be really grateful if you can tell your family and friends about the site because word of mouth is a really effective form of marketing, and its free too!
